The Carpentry Shop is currently being refreshed. All the termite damaged walls and workbenches were removed or treated. Additional tool outlets and switches were installed and all walls were repaired and repainted.
A new workbench was constructed using termite resistant pressure treated lumber. The pegboard wall provides lots of space for hanging tools. Electric power and compressed air outlets were built in.
A 1" belt / 5" disk sander, 4" belt / spindle sander, and a 14" bandsaw were donated to the Carpentry Shop by Michael Mead.
Michael Mead also donated a 17" drill press to the Carpentry Shop.
Adjacent to the Carpenter Shop a new Oneida Dust Cyclone and Jet Dust Collector were connected to create a high efficiency two-stage cyclone dust collection system.
Ducting was constructed and installed to collect sawdust created by current and future power tools.
